Sohel Sanghani

Sohel Sanghani is the co-founder and CEO of Canary Mail, the company behind Dove. He has led the company since 2016, growing it from an early encrypted-email app into an AI-powered email platform used by professionals and teams around the world.

Dove came out of a simple observation: email didn't get worse, it got louder, and the tools kept asking people to sort it themselves. His writing draws on a decade of hands-on work where email, productivity and AI meet — how professionals get more out of an inbox, how to choose an email app and the workflows around it, and how AI is changing everyday communication. It's perspective from building and testing these features with real users, not reviewing them from the outside.

Before Canary Mail, Sohel was VP of Strategy and Business Development at Ace Softex and worked at Bridgewater Associates. He holds a B.A. in Computer Science from Johns Hopkins and an M.A. from Johns Hopkins SAIS.
